“That guy will never learn,” Billy sighed, rubbing his eyes. He didn’t know how long ago this was, but if it’d happened whilst Dan was “Trying to be come a better person” Billy felt for Roxy and her baby. If he’d happened before, well, he still pitied them because they would have to live the rest of their life with Daniel Crowne. “Aw come on, Kat. I told you all that stuff the other day when you were nosing about Griffin and me. It’s only fair,” he whined, plastering a fake pout onto his lips. “And in any case, I learn my nosiness from the best,” he smirked, poking his friend lightly and moving his face away from Kat’s fingers. “I am not the dog, missy,” he retorted, laughing quietly to himself as he stuck his hands in the back pockets of his jeans. “Well it’s this really cool game where you have this bored thing and these disks and whoever fills up the board with 4 in a row first wins. Super fun,” he nodded with a small smile. God, he was such a kid sometimes. But he had fun, so who cares. Glancing around the store, Billy grabbed one of the honeydukes bags and made his way over to the pick & mix, grabbing a large assortment of different lollies. “All my words are fighting words, Sugar Puss,” he grinned as he payed for his sweets and pulled a sugar quill out of his bag.
“No. He won’t,” Kat responded, a little upset on Roxanne’s behalf. It was none of her business, but Katarina really thought the Slytherin deserved better than Arsehole-Daniel. Shaking off his question, Kat rolled her eyes. Really, did he have to blame her for her awesome sleuthing skills? “I doubt your nosiness is my fault. You were nosey right from the get-go. I only helped your skill bloom into something beautiful.” She practically beams at him; causing her hand to look like a blooming flowers. While her eyes danced in mock stupidity. “It sounds super boring. How could you like that and no Chess? I don’t understand. Especially Wizard Chess. Wizard Chess is the game of all games,” she argues, a hint of laugh leaving her while she held her candy. She’d pay for it when he was ready to pay for his purchases. “Which explains why we’re friends.”
“Ah well,” the boy sighed, making a mental note to talk to Roxy later and see how she was doing. Especially since her friendships with Cole and Daniel had put a strain on her’s and Billy’s, them not talking as much as they used to. “Mm, it is. Before I came to this school and met you, I didn’t care about anything that was going on with other people. Gosh Kat, you’ve changed me,” he teases lightly, sticking his hands into his back pockets. “It’s not as boring as chess. You can get 5 year olds to play that with ease, where as chess takes bribes of large proportions to get any sane person to play,” he shrugged, “and wizarding chess was never my thing.” Sucking lightly on the end of his sugar quill, Billy stood by the door as Kat paid. “That’s exactly why we’re friends,” he grinned, holding the door open for the girl before following her out into the warm street.
